The brief was to change a square garden, with a concrete surrounded lawn into a space that a young family could relax and play in. This meant removing all traces of concrete and introducing larger and more accommodating seating areas including a deck and an arbour seat where the family could sit back with a coffee and watch the garden grow!
I increased the size of the borders to give more scope for seasonal planting and took away the hard edges with a flowing path leading to a small pond. We knew it was a success when the frogs inhabited the pond as soon as it was filled! The hard landscaping here was completed by Di Bray Gardens, the deck by Oxford Woodscapes.
