The brief here was to create a mixed border that would give colour in the first season. The setting is tradional with a mellow backdrop of cotswold stone requiring planting that stands out but is not glaring or at odds with the exisiting landscape. To ensure early and late colour in the border there is a backbone of Daphne mezereum, Dogwoods, Hellebores and Euphorbia.
To give a traditional feel there is a central planting of roses and lavender, complemented by Veronica, Lillies and Alliums.
